Présentation de la recherche

Spécialiste de Hegel et de l’idéalisme allemand, Christophe Bouton a élargi son travail de recherche selon les trois axes suivants :

  • L’histoire de la philosophie allemande (de Kant à Heidegger)
  • La question du temps dans les sciences et la philosophie contemporaine
  • La théorie critique de l’histoire et l’histoire des concepts dans la modernité (XIXe-XXIe siècles)

Il a été professeur invité à l’Université de Hambourg (2010), de Laval (2011), « visiting scholar » au « Centre for Time » de l’Université de Sydney (2012) et au département de philosophie de l’Université de New York (2015), et en délégation CNRS aux Archives Husserl de Paris (2019-2020) pour un projet sur le passage du temps dans la phénoménologie contemporaine et la « philosophy of time ». Il travaille actuellement sur la tradition de l’anthropologie philosophique dans ses interactions avec la théorie de l’histoire.
