L’idée centrale de ce colloque est d’éprouver l’actualité de l’herméneutique littéraire dans les sciences humaines. Il constitue le second volet du projet « Penser la lecture littéraire. L’herméneutique dans un horizon élargi » dirigé par David Wellbery (University of Chicago), Christoph König (Universität Osnabrück) et Mandana Covindassamy (Ecole Normale Supérieure-PSL, Paris) dont l’objet est de cultiver un dialogue en chiasme entre les philologies et la philosophie. Le premier colloque, qui s’est tenu au Centre international de conférences de Cerisy-La-Salle du 24 au 30 juillet 2024 (Penser la lecture. L’herméneutique littéraire dans un horizon élargi [2024] | Centre Culturel International de Cerisy), a pris pour point de départ la lecture pour conduire à une réflexion philosophique sur la lecture afin de contribuer à une théorie de la pratique philologique. Le second colloque, qui se tiendra à Paris au nouveau « University of Chicago Center and Research Institute », 39-45 rue des Grands Moulins du 13 au 15 mars 2025, examine comment des philosophes parviennent à des interprétations littéraires dans le cadre de leur philosophie.
Les conférences et les discussions auront lieu en français, en allemand et en anglais.
